Can't locate gconf-2.0 needed by gnucash

Upgrade to 7.10, which has gnucash 2.2.1 packaged.
If you really want to build it from sources on 7.04, you'll need to
figure out what development packages to install (build-essential at the
very minimum, libgconf2-dev to resolve the specific problem you saw,
probably others as well). apt-get build-dep gnucash might help, if 7.04
had a gnucash package.
