Ark download and istallation problem

Hi all
i have  a problem that i think i did but don't know how to fix it. i was
trying to install frostwire, after getting frustrated i tried adding the
download link into the repositories. after the third try i gave up, then  i
tied to use the download manager again only  to get this message: The APT
Database could not be opened! This may be caused by incorrect APT
configuration or some similar problem. Try running apt-setup and apt-get
update in terminal and see if it helps to resolve the problem.i tried to
resolve this issue by googling and tried a couple commands which were:

E: Unable to lock the download directory

darkfena313 at darkfena313-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get update

E: Malformed line 56 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist)

darkfena313 at darkfena313-desktop:~$ gksudo gedit
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/edgy-multiverse.list

The program 'gksudo' is currently not installed. You can install it by
typing:

sudo apt-get install gksu

bash: gksudo: command not found

darkfena313 at darkfena313-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install gksu

Im currently using Kubuntu 7.10. can anyone help?
