I'd agree - and suggest that there will _always_ come a day when you really
need it.

You can "simply" remove the option from grub - but anybody with access to
the physical machine can also always just add it back in at boot time.

You can also, fairly simply, add a password to the grub menu, so that even a
person with physical access can't edit it without the password.
