Been, look to upgrade this dinosaur of a computer...
narrow it down to a these Motherboards...However, 
there is nothing on ubuntu hardware support page for this boards (too new)

thought to ask the group if they would fly with (K)ubuntu 7.10

Gigabyte: GA-MA69GM-S2H or GA-MA69GM-S3H (both built-in x1250 ati graphics) 
with 690G chipset
