Trying Gutsy Gibbon beta and FAILING

Hi

On my current Dell Inspiron 9400 I am running without problems Feisty 
Fawn (using proprietary and non proprietary drivers). I tried the Gutsy 
Gibbon Beta but it fails completely. I only get a blue screen with a 
mouse cursor that moves, but that is it! Any ideas?

My graphics card: VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon 
Mobility X1400
