Dis issues with Sun Ultra 40

I installed Kubuntu 7.19 RC on a Sun Ultra 40 this weekend. The machine
takes a very long time to boot, and is aparantley having issues with the
disk on boot. I am getting things like this in dmesg, after boot:

Is there a boot time flag I can set to avoid these errors?
