Replacing a hard drive with a larger one.

Upon my initial installation, I only used a 7gb HD.  Somehow it has suddenly been filled up and every time I boot I receive a series of BEEPS.  I did delete enough to permit me to login.

I have a new 20gb but I'm not sure how to go about installing it and successfully moving the current information.

When I review my ubuntu menus I do not see any backup nor restore applications and now I'm not sure if there is enough room to install them.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
