This is true. I only use this on cli apps and when building a new kernel 
and running "make xconfig". I've in the past used it with kate and was 
unable to launch kate as a normal user afterward. This was easy to fix 
by deleting the rc file for kate, but this is a potential problem with 
using xhost.
