Stop a drive from automounting

It's probably easier for a newbie (such as myself) to simply turn off
automount in Preferences - Removable Drives & Media until they have
finished their resizing.

However, I have 2 partitions in reserve for an install of Debian I'm
planning on doing at some point, they aren't assigned or mentioned in
fstab, yet always show up (unmounted) in my Disk Mounter toolbar
applet. How can I get Ubuntu to not "see" them at all?
