I have the same problem with the Canadian mirror too.  Yesterday 
evening, I got a download at 600k/sec on my desktop, but today I got 
40-60k/sec on my laptop, using the same mirror.

I agree with Markus on the fact that probably the OpenOffice update is 
part of the problem.  That update, combined with the downloads of Gutsy 
beta dvds maybe?...
