No video0 device? With gspca module.

Check the USB ID ("lsmod" in the terminal) and see if the ID of your cam is 
listed here http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html.

If yes, check the kernel logfile for messages from gspca (/var/log/kern.log)
