running on my PC but I have a confusion on how to fix some problems.  My PC

And, my monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 931BW that supports 1440x900 mode.
My monitor is connected to my NVidia GeForce 7600GT AGP via DVI interface.

My questions are:

[1] What packages do I need to install to fully work the NVidia GLX?  That
means, I prefer to use the proprietary NVidia driver for my PC.  Currently,
it's using VESA.

[2] How will I set the screen to 1440x900 mode?  Currently, it's using
1024x768 mode.

[3] How will I convert my Gnome desktop to a 3D environment?  That means, my
Gnome environment will run with Compiz+Fusion.
