You might do a speed test to make sure that your DSL link isn't causing
the problem:

I've found that occasionaly my dsl link (more often lately) drops and/or
resets to a lower speed - especially after heavy download sessions. ISP
tech's are trying to figure it out; but now when I have problems I run a
speed test first. Then if the speeds have dropped I turn off the dsl
modem for about 30 sec & 9 times out of 10 the link will reset back to
it's proper speed.
