No, it won't. Or let me rephrase. As far as I'm aware, Ubuntu does not have
a userland version aimed at Sparc based processors which is what the Ultra
10 (US-IIi) and Blade 1500 (US-IIIi) use. You could probably compile a
kernel for it but it wouldn't be that time effective. Debian does have a
Sparc port, as does NetBSD. There's also Nexenta which uses the SunOS
(solaris) kernel but Ubuntu/debian userspace. Might be worth a shot but
haven't gotten around to installing it yet.
Really though, why not just install Solaris 9 or 10 on the boxes? You can
get it for free now
