There's a reason I throw sed(1) at sources.list (apart from the obvious
lazyness) ...

In terms of other hints, try a bog-standard "apt-get install foo", or
remove (and purge) foo, then try again with a dist-upgrade.

Aptitude's not too bad in fixing broken dependencies if you're sources
are in order.
