Package: lyx
Version: 1.4.3-2ubuntu1
Severity: normal

Producing a PDF with included xfig graphics,

I couldn't get xfig images (included as graphics) to clip the same in the
preview and output, or when they did the output was pixelised at about 72dpi
instead of being nice clean vector images.

what I mean is sometimes the images were vector images but clipped wrongly
and sometimes they were pixmaps clipped correctly, editing the document
and/or fig files would change between these behaviors this but not in a
predictable way.

I resolved this by converting them to EPS using "fig2eps --nogv" the
EPS graphics clipped correctly and rendered as vector images in the
resulting PDF.

having the LYX and XFIG cordinate systems with the Y axis in the opposite
direction was confusing too.
