Dave,
This is something I posted to our yahoo group that I maintain for the
Democrats in my district. I thought you would enjoy this.
If you are interested, I could actually add you to the group. Many of
our postings concern local issues but not always. I post stuff to
their almost daily. There is a guy named George Robison who posts
stuff extensively, he is one of those guys who is the backbone of the
party. He has been a Democrat his whole life and has an immense
ammount of knowledge and experience. I was proud to carry his proxy
vote at a recent meeting where George has voting priveleges. He is
what is known as a State Commmitteeman, there should be 2 from each
Legislative District and 2 for each County. One must be a man and
one must be a woman.
Let me know and I could add you to the group. I think you would find
it interesting.

Folks,
Tonight I caught an interview with Bill Clinton on David Letterman. I
believe it may have been a repeat. Nonetheless, I was struck by how
smart, articulate and well spoken he was. Bill Clinton is a master of
taking difficult ideas and explaining them in a way that voters can
understand.
Many of us may have had our issues with Bill while he was President.
Nonetheless, watching Bill in action reminded me that the differences
between Bill and George W. could not be more stark. I was saddened by
the contrast between him and the current occupant of the White House.
Bill Clinton still consistently polls better than other candidates.
People know that despite his flaws, Bill Clinton did his job very well
and I believe that people trusted that he was on-top of things while
Bill was the boss. Again, the difference between Bill and the current
occupant could not be more stark. George W. Bush seems to be bored
with his job, more interested in bike riding and quite content to let
his cronies run amok. They know that the boss is out playing golf.
He may have had his flaws but he busted his tail and was known to be a
huge workaholic who worked long hours until the wee hours of the
morning. The people who worked under him knew that Bill would hold
them accountable. There are days where I really miss Bill.
Steve M.
