I am going to try a re-install of Ubuntu, I believe something has not been installed properly. I tried installing each of the different piix files and updating the kernel and then removing the piix files. But it didn't work. Plus my laptop takes about 5 minutes to reboot and it never did that with the original install of Gutsy. Ed
