can't sync Treo 650 to Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy

Kpilot does what I want it to do after manually setting the connection speed 
to max, username und connetion to usb: Only problem I had was that Kpilot 
allways tried to restore but after a restart everything works flawlessly, 
crossing my fingers.
