WPA_SUPPLICANT_ARGS

All,

I have been struggling with the ever-popular wireless
headache in gutsy-gibbon.  I finally decided to try
WiFi Radar after finally getting disgusted with
Network Manager.  It still doesn't work, but I am at
least getting an error message, the application blows
up on this line :

wpa_args = WPA_SUPPLICANT_ARGS % (INTERFACE,
profile['wpa_driver'])

I edited the file /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf to include
the line : "wpa_driver=wext".  I guessed that this was
right because I grabbed it from and
/etc/network/interfaces file that worked at one time.
