Evolution uses gtkhtml to display HTML messages, whereas Thunderbird
uses Gecko. Gtkhtml works nice and fast for simple, standard HTML
formatting, but it has it's limits when it comes to layers, JavaScript,
fancy CSS and broken HTML code.
Problem is: There are many marketing experts out there thinking that a
professional looking newsletter has to contain loads of bling, can only
be created with a high level design software that generates broken code,
and has to be tested with Outlook only.
Most times these mails are ugly when viewed in Evolution, but anyway
readable. If that makes you angry, you should use the resulting energy
to make a screenshot and send it to the publisher along with some words
of respect.

haven't completely understood the seriousness of the situation.
