I like cdrskin. It's in universe and is compatible with cdrecord
commands. The main difference is that it isn't a fork of cdrecord, is
still being maintained upstream and I have found that it seems to
produce less cryptic errors than wodim or cdrecord. It is also capable
of burning CD-R/RW as well as dvd+/-R/RW and I believe DVD-RAM, all with
the same cdrecord-compatible command line interface. It is relatively
new, but is quite stable and works quite well.
