Since I upgraded Fiesty to Gutsy a few weeks ago, my Dell Inspiron 1501
will not hibernate either. I haven't heard of a fix, yet.
AFAIK, the kernel and drivers have to support cpu scaling for it to
work. I have a desktop running NVidia and it will lock up when the cpu
speed changes. I disabled it in the bios until a fix comes about.
