7.10 video static problem at intial login

Hello all,

 

Does anyone know why my screen goes all fizy and the video wrapped 50% of
the time when I boot to gutsy gibbon? I never have this problem on my
windows xp partition in the past and right now.  It only happens when in the
ubuntu side. I have a pny geforce 6200 ddr 256mb agp card and a  abit nf7-m
motherboard.
