I'm curious about this...
I know this may sound like a M$ thing, but I wonder if this might not do
it -
If you can back up your vm's and the config files you have, run the
update to vmware-server, then run the install script again (be sure to
give it the same responses, though)...
Then see if the update manager quits annoying you.
