gutsy freezes when idle for long time

How long to do leave it before you judge that it has frozen?

I find that with dektop effects enabled, it can take up to a minute for
the screen to be restored after overnight inactivity.  However, if I
disable desktop effects the problem disappears.  I have filed a bug.
