Gutsy will not hibernate or reboot

I think I had 5.04. But I was able to hibernate 6.04 up to 7.04.  7.10 
is broken.  I'm on a Dell Inspiron 1501 1GB RAM 80GB HD.  Don't know 
what happened, but I'm going to keep looking into it.
