Okay, sorry for the bad assumption. Perhaps using VGA=normal on the
 boot line will get it going. I    did this installation on a 400 Mhz
 Pentium II with the Nvidia M4000    graphics card. It was slow, but it
 did install. The installation took  a very very long time to complete,
 and a couple of times I was sure it  had hung after impossible long
 delays. After restarting about 4 times, I just left it alone and  
 walked away. When I got back (some 6 hours later), it was finished.
 Couldn´t tell you how long it really took to run, never checked the
 logs. I was not happy with the performance and reinstalled Dapper.

Perhaps another expert? Anyone?
