howto install xubuntu over ubuntu

I had installed ubuntu destop (7.10) on an older dell laptop.
I would like to switch to xubuntu, in order to get some performance back.

I noticed the following link
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallingXubuntu

mentioned executing the command:
sudo aptitude install xubuntu-desktop

Will that take care of it?
Is there more that is needed?
