Looking for PCI-E Display card

I am looking for a PCI-E display card for ubuntu 7.10.  All I need is have a DVI output so that I can connect it to Apple Cinema 20" display.  Anyone has successful experience with a good value PCI-E display card, please share your thoughts.  I have read some people have issue with ATI and some have issues with Nvidia. Thus, I am not sure which to choose.
