gutsy freezes when idle for long time

Hi,

My Gutsy freezes up when I leave it alone for a long time. The 
screensaver is running and I cannot get access to the system anymore. I 
have not selected to allow a suspend or hibernate. I just allow it to 
shut down when the battery power is too low (this works OK when I am 
working on the system, left alone it fails).

I am running KDE on Dell Inspiron 9400
