Ekiga, video and audio out, but no audio in

Running Ubuntu Feisty on a Lenovo 3000 C100 notebook with 2GB RAM and
using a Logitech Quickcam 4000 which is auto-detected by Ekiga as a
V4L device. Audio and video out seem to work (the other person could
see and hear me). Audio in however did not work. I noticed this once
before with Blogtv trying to broadcast, video out worked, but no one
could hear me. Audio playing works if I unplug the Quickcam 4000, but
it doesn't when the cam is plugged in. Any ideas?
