Sorry, should have made this clear. This is what happens if I use
gftp to try to connect from remote to main:
Opening SSH connection to 192.168.1.2
Running program ssh -e none -l bra -p 22 192.168.1.2 -s sftp
3: Protocol Initialization
Error: Could not read from socket: Connection reset by peer
Disconnecting from site 192.168.1.2
