Firefox as default browser in Kubuntu 7.04

Hi All
	I can't get Firefox to be the default brower with local .html files.  I
went into system settings and changed the default browser there, and
when that didn't work I tried 
sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser  as suggested on
http://www.ubuntux.org/firefox-default-browser

Still no go - if I click on an .html file it just displays in Konqueror
Help?
