Correct. And aptoncd solves the bandwith problem. It's in universe.

Actually, the new (feisty's) version of synaptic lets you browse packages on a 
repository basis, so when you have your new system, and add your aptoncd 
created disk(s), you can easilly see your saved packages, and select those 
you like.
