scanner problem solved

Hi Again,

Well, I did not upgrade - I did a fresh install...

I looked at the /boot/grub/menu.lst file and I see not 2.6.17 kernel.

A search (apt-cache search 2.6.17) did not find any kernels - only drivers
for said kernel for Wireless and AVM Fritz PCI ISDN card...

Any way I can install the 2.6.17 kernel from Edgy and make it my default
(once I make sure it solves my problem)?
