Yes Carsten.  I looked at Thilo's email and think I pasted it into my 
/etc/inputrc.  He had the error in the original email as you know.

Of course, I don't type many upper case letters at the console so the 
problem could have lurking for some time.

Those comment lines can be a real bear to see.  I try to always put a 
space after the #.
