Ubuntu 7.04 hangs on reboot on Dell 745

Hi,

When I do a reboot on a (K)ubuntu 7.04 system, it hangs forever. I've done
I preseed installation, and even without a desktop system (just
ubuntu-standard), the last message is "Restarting system".
The machine is a Dell optiplex 745, i.e. 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP i686,
Intel ICH8 Family

Any ideas?

I've also posted this at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/115011
five days ago, but that didn't result in any comments.
