cups and windows printers....

Hi,
a strange fact I'm observing is that when a windows shared printer, connected 
to my cups server (ubuntu 6.1) becomes unavailable (maybe because the 
computer is down) cups seems to suspend the queue, thus I have to manually 
re-enable it doing lpadmin -p hps22 -E.
Is there a special parameter to setup to avoid this "polling" of the windows 
printers? Or there is something to execute to automatically test and 
re-enable all available printers?
