How do I get phpmyadmin working?

Here's what I have done on Ubuntu Edgy Desktop

MySQL client / server is installed and working fine

In order to get all the dependencies for phpmyadmin I
installed through Synaptic:

PHP5 
Apache2 with the common files and PHP5 and MySQL
modules
phpmyadmin

in that order 

I guess there is more to do though, becuase when I
point Firefox at http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin I get a
blank screen. 

Where am I going wrong??
