I don't think the problem is with security.ubuntu.com . I have this in my
sources.list:

$ grep security /etc/apt/sources.list | grep -v ^#
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security main restricted
deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security main restricted
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security universe
deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security universe
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security multiverse
deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security multiverse

... and I get no errors on " sudo apt-get update"

( just tried it) I am running 32 bit i386 Feisty 7.04 .
