Lenovo Y400 sound

I've just got a new ASUS notebook and after ripping Vista off it in
favor of Feisty found the same sound problem. Totem would play the
file, but no output via speakers. Stumbled across this:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HdaIntelSoundHowto and it seemed to
have fixed the problem.
