Sun Java and Netbeans

Has anyone been able to get synaptic to install these packages? It keeps 
stopping and telling me to manually go download packages, change their 
ownership and copy them into /tmp. Worse, the URL's can't be copy and 
pasted - and it doesn't tell us specifically what file to get. Obviously the 
way around it is to forget about Synaptic and apt and manually download and 
install the packages from the Sun site.

I was just wondering if anyone had managed to use this. If so, how?
