Sad to say sorry to report, but that didn't work. The update was fine and I
left it installing the desktop packages when I headed out this morning as
the count-down timer said it would take about an hour. Came back to a
question about what screen resolutions my card could handle. I selected 1200
X 800 and then the rest on down the list to the bottom of the list and after
finishing the rest of the install re-booted. Now I get a cool Ubuntu graphic
showing me the loading progress ... but it dies with a black screen, no
cursor control or keyboard control that I can tell.

My fawn doesn't seem very feisty at all ... :O(
