ATI X550 driver install for 6.10 amd64

Hello
   
  I have got an ATI Radeon X550 Graphics card AND Linux 6.10 Ubuntu amd64 version.
   
  "sudo sh ./ati-driver-installer-8.36.5.run"
   
  I have entered the above command for driver install .Ididn't see any window on screen and stopped.
  But it wrote, 
   
    "fglrx-install.Vp5394 temp file opened."
  ...............................................................
  ...............................................................

  "fglrx-install.Vp5394 temp file closed."
   
  What does this message mean? installed or not? How can I understand it?
  Which files can I check in the system?
