It looks like it to me, yes, but I will defer to Magnus's superior
knowledge. I'm afraid I have never owned anything more powerful than
the AthlonXP 2800+ that I'm typing on right now, and though several of
my clients have Core2 or Athlon64 chips, they are not interested in
Linux or virualisation, so it has never come up.
