Ubuntu Server and Desktop on the same pc ?

Hi is it possible to install ubuntu server and desktop on the same machine ?

I've installed ubuntu server but i actually wanted to install the desktop version, I am wondering how to uninstall the server ...and then install the desktop or if they can both reside on the same machine.
