What are the dimensions of the video?  I might suggest that U encode the
video using x264 and the sound in FAAC.  x264 used to be pretty buggy,
but it's quite alright now.  Nowadays, I use avidemux to encode my videos.

Encoding videos can be very tricky.  Read the guides and tips on
different sites. doom9.org  is a very good site.  So far, I've yet to
see a avidemux guide that comes close to being helpful.
