No sound in Flash, online help not solving the problem

I had the same problem with not being able to get sound when playing a 
flash file. I went to the adobe site per your link and saw that version 
9,0,31,0 was the latest; but at the top of the page it said that I had 
version 7 something. I downloaded and installed the latest version and 
now I can hear flash files again.
