Bad fstab created by edgy upgrade

I've now found a command that gives the unique ID for each device, and
guess what:-

sudo vol_id -u /dev/hde5
be7ec62e-f996-40d1-8908-82ff470f367c

sudo vol_id -u /dev/hdb1
be7ec62e-f996-40d1-8908-82ff470f367c

So there we have it.
